Our Story

GENERATIONS IN
THE MAKING.

Mochi has been cherished for generations for its soft, satisfyingly chewy texture. It arrived in Hawaiʻi with Japanese immigrants who came to work the islands' sugar plantations in the late 1800s and early 1900s — and over the generations that followed, mochi wove itself into local life, from butter mochi at family gatherings to mochi pounding at New Year.

Our founder's grandparents lived through that plantation era. MochiGo carries those roots forward — honoring the Japanese tradition of mochi and the spirit of Hawaiʻi in a breakfast made for today, with modern ingredients and a protein-forward approach.
